Who are we?
Racehorse Rescue Centre (RRC) is a Recognised Retraining Establishment specialising in the care, rehabilitation and rehoming of vulnerable, unwanted and retired racehorses from across the UK.
Presented with the Points of Light Award from the Prime Minister in 2017
Founded on compassion and driven entirely by volunteers, RRC provides a safe, structured and therapeutic environment where ex-racehorses can recover, rebuild trust and learn new skills after their racing careers have ended.
Our mission is simple:
to give every former racehorse the chance of a healthy, meaningful and secure life beyond the track.
Through careful assessment, tailored rehabilitation programmes and supportive rehoming, we ensure each horse has the opportunity to thrive in a suitable new home — whether as a riding horse, companion animal, therapy partner or cherished member of a family.
As a charity with no paid staff, every donation goes directly into the care of the horses who need us most. We are proud to deliver community programmes, prisoner rehabilitation initiatives, youth education opportunities and international awareness campaigns — all powered by the horses we rescue.
RRC stands as a place of hope, healing and second chances.
Because every racehorse deserves a future.
